BMYSL JV & Varsity Boys Football
The Instructional Pee-Wee Football League for Students in 5th & 6th Grade.
1. We are members of the IPFL (Instructional Pee-Wee Football League).
2. The League consists of two divisions, consisting of five teams each, with a rotating schedule from year to year.
3. The League consists of the following teams:
Clyde Fliers, Edison Chargers, Perkins Pirates, Norwalk Truckers,Norwalk St. Paul, Oak Harbor Rockets, Port Clinton Braves, Sandusky Central Catholic and Margaretta Polar Bears.
Rules of Eligibility:
1. All participants must attend and be enrolled in the school system for which your football team is based.
2. Any school system containing more than one football team, public or parochial shall not have a player attend a public school and play for a parochial team and/or vice versa.
Weight Limits for JV:
1. Any player over 110 pounds must have an "X" on their helmet.
2. Any player over 110 pounds may not advance the ball.
3. Any player over 110 pounds that recovers a fumble or makes an interception cannot advance the ball. The play will be ruled dead where the change of possession took place.
4. Players over 110 pounds may be used at the skilled positions, (ex. running back or tight end) but must only be used for blocking purposes. They cannot advance the ball.
Weight Limits for Varsity:
1. Any player over 120 pounds must have an "X" on their helmet.
2..Any player over 120 pounds may not advance the ball.
3. Any player over 120 pounds that ecovers a fumble or makes an interception cannot advance the ball. The play will be ruled dead where the change of possession took place.

5th Quarter (If agreed to be played by both teams):
1. The 5th quarter is played to give all players the chance to play.
2. The 5th quarter will be played at the beginning of each game.
3. The 5th quarter will be ten minutes in duration and played with regular clock.
4. Each team will be permitted two time outs during the 5th quarter.
5. The score will be reset to zero for both teams at the start of the regular game.
6. There will be a five minute break between the 5th quarter and regular game.
Extra Points and Field Goals:
1. A run or pass play for a P.A.T. will be worth one point.
2. A kicking P.A.T. will be worth two points.
3. A field goal will be worth three points.
4. When a team elects try a field goal or either type of extra point, your intentions must be clearly declared to the referee and the opposing team.
5. There will be no rushing of the kicker during a field goal or kicking P.A.T. attempt. The opposing defense must remain at the line of scrimmage and may try to block the attempt.
